Furama RiverFront and Furama City Centre (“Furama Singapore”)
Singapore, 12 October 2016 – Furama Singapore was awarded the prestigious Hotel Security Excellence Award 2016 at the Annual Hotel Security Award by the Singapore Hotel Association in conjunction with the National Crime Prevention Council (NCPC) and the Singapore Police Force (SPF) on 7 October 2016. Both Furama RiverFront and Furama City Centre received recognition for contributing towards high levels of security within the Singapore hotel industry and for achieving the SS 545 standard.
Hotel staff from both properties received awards based on three categories - Honesty Award, Bravery Award and Vigilance Award.
Honesty Award
The award is presented to hotel employees for their good deeds and in up keeping a safe image of Singapore to the tourists. It is with great pleasure to announce that the following hotel staff from Furama City Centre clinched this award: Ms. Rosalie - Reception Manager, Ms. Shen Haibing – Room Attendant, Ms. Huang Mei Lan – Room Attendant.
Bravery Award
The objective of the bravery award is to emphasise the important roles played by all hotel employees and to serve as a motivation for hotel employees to excel in their duties by according recognition for their exemplary conduct.
Vigilance Award
The award aims to encourage hotel employees to be more vigilant in order to prevent and/ or stop crimes. For this category, Ms. Kasnita Binte Hamid – Junior Sous Chef, Furama City Centre, was recognised for her efforts.
Furama RiverFront Housekeeping Staff, Ms. Lim SanZhi, received the SHA Vigilance Award 2016 - Special Mention Award for her vigilance in preventing a guest from harm.

It encourages hotel staff to strive further in providing a safe and secured accommodation within the respective hotels.
