One of the best town’s viewpoints is also one of the coolest bars in Kuala Lumpur. Atmosphere 360, located at 276m, has the highest view in town. This amazing revolving bar and restaurant look like a spaceship with its neon lights, chill vibes and interesting interior design. What is really cool about this place is that the tables are arranged in a single line around the edge of the restaurant right beside the huge floor-to-ceiling windows. At first, it is hard to notice that the restaurant is moving. After a few moments, you realize the outer world passes beside you and your table is not in the same place anymore; one moment you’re sitting right beside the bar and the next you are in front of an impressive piano. It takes more than an hour for the restaurant to do a full circle, which gives you plenty of time to enjoy the spectacular views over the city.

Merchant's Lane

In the middle of Chinatown, in an old heritage building, Merchant’s Lane can be found. It is definitely one of those amazing places that can be spotted around Instagram, leaving you with the feeling ‘I have to go there’. The whole ambiance is full of old-school charm, reminding you of those iconic, atmospheric cafes in Penang and Malacca. Heavy wooden furnishings and rattan chairs are in contrast with mismatched colorful ornamentation. Ruined walls and exposed ceilings with a dash of luscious greenery and amazing flower details are really worth seeing. A unique outdoor seating area with a peaceful atmosphere is sugar at the end, almost like, they are trying to keep the past with a slight touch of modern beauty. There is also a big, open island bar concept that allows you to observe baristas in making caffeinated wonders. Similarly, the whole ‘Malaysian Oriental motif’ can be found in beautifully prepared dishes and beverages. Merchant’s Lane is definitely one of those must-visit cool café bars.

For a quiet getaway from the bustling vibe of Kuala Lumpur, Feeka is the right place to be. Located in an old townhouse with both an outdoor and indoor seating area, every corner of this café bar is different and unique in its own way. The interesting fact is that the word ‘feeka’ is actually lent from the Swedish word ‘fika’ which means taking a break with food. That is the exact description of this fantastic place because it’s a true oasis of peace in the middle of the city. The interior design is colored by minimalism, left to its purest form with pale tones and simple furnishings. Their motto ‘Less is more’ can be seen written across the wall which will cheer up all simplicity lovers. Small potted plants, wooden details and hanging light bulbs in combination with a fusion of mismatched wall colors gives this place a cozy, relaxed vibe. On the other hand, when it comes to coffee, Feeka offers nothing less than a rich and excellent selection of coffee beans. If you’re not a coffee fan, don’t worry because here you can find great tea and juice options as well as brunch selection.
