The Italian architect who designed it included several verandas and covered walkways in the design to keep the structure cool.

The Hua Hin railway station was also constructed during the reign of King Rama VI. It is easily accessible as it is located near to the center of town. The bright colors used in the décor of the station make it a visual delight. You can also see the royal waiting room built for the use of the royal family when they traveled to and from Bangkok by rail. There is a delightful blend of authentic thai architecture combined with a victorian design element.

The Night Market on Petchkasem Road takes over the street every evening from 18:30 onwards. Expect a Thai shopping experience of a lifetime. There are numerous seafood restaurants on the road for you to choose from for a delicious dinner.

No holiday is complete without a fun day at a water park. The Black Mountain Water Park offers you exactly that. It has features and attractions to satisfy any fun lover’s tastes. For nature lovers, a visit to Khao Takiab is a must. The name translates to ‘Chopstick Mountain’. The end of the hike features a long flight of stairs. At the top, you will be greeted by Wat Khao Takiap. As the temple is surrounded by lovely monkeys, it is also known as Monkey Temple.

The Phraya Nakhon Cave is a great destination for adventure lovers. This cave is quite hard to reach but well worth the effort. Inside, you will find a gold and green pavilion which will take your breath away with its beauty.

The Khao Sam Roi Yot National Park is quite near to Hua Hin. It’s about an hour’s drive away. You can go on a boat cruise to Monkey Island down the Pranburi River. There is also the option of taking a private tour to see all the magnificent sites the park has to offer. You can also choose to enter as a day visitor and explore the park independently.

After dark in Hua Hin

The nightlife in Hua Hin may seem a bit muted in comparison with Bangkok and the other resort areas in Thailand, but there is still plenty to see and do. A lot of the markets in Hua Hin continue to trade long after the sun goes down, so there’s plenty of entertainment to be had.
