The Best Time to visit Hua Hin

Regardless of the weather or season, your country is experiencing; it is almost a natural instinct to feel the urge to travel and explore the world. Hell, it’s even a life goal for some to travel around the world.

So, for travel destinations this vacation, Hua Hin is the place to be. Far from being the small fishing village it once was, it is currently one of the most beautiful tourist areas in Thailand.

It is the best place to go carry out sightseeing, water skiing, kite surfing or other water related activities and relax from the loud and noisy hustles you experience being in Bangkok.

While you will forget your problems the moment you visit beautiful Hua Hin, you may have a hard time knowing when it is best to visit the district. Here is a rundown of the months of the year and the best time to visit Hua Hin.

General Climate of Hua Hin

Being closer to the coast, Hua Hin experiences a tropical climate. It normally has a dry and rainy season. As compared to the winter, summer rainfall here is still higher on average. 

Despite the amount of precipitation, the temperatures average to about 28° C which is still greater than the summer temperature of some countries like the USA. The average temperature simply means that you should not forget your summer dresses, shorts, laced and crop tops, ladies; while the guys can have fun in their shorts and vests.

November – January

This time of the year is when the district experiences dry and sunny days. In January, the temperature is on average at 28° C during the day time and can go as low as 20° C during the nights. That makes January the coldest month.

Planning your vacation in Hua Hin around this period offers great blue sunny skies which means you will not only have fun and life long memories, but you will also get a free skin tan. It couldn’t get any better, right?

 

Hiking

90minutes out from Hua Hin, the drive to Pa La-U Waterfall is a beautiful and serene experience, you will be greeted by the green hilly countryside.

There are a total of 11 levels for this waterfall, of which only 5 are open to the public. The trail can get a tad bit slippery so appropriate footwear is a must! Level 1 and 2 are an easy climb, from then on, it is more of rock climbing with the help of strategically placed ropes. The waters are clear and you can see fishes in the pools. Some may opt for a dip in the cool waters after that climb!

The other place where you can go for hiking is Khao Sam Roi Yot National Park, about an hour’s drive from Hua Hin. There’s plenty to see at this National park, from beaches to cave exploration and bird watching.

Swimming

When the weather is that good, you can go out for a swim and sun bath while you are at it. You can enjoy a fun splash time with you family at the Van Nava Hua Hin Water Jungle or Black Mountain Water Park. They are suitable experiences if you are traveling with your family.

Hua Hin has fantastic beaches like Hua Hin Beach, Suan Son Pradiapt Beach, Kaho Takiab and Khao Sam Roi Yot National Park. These are some of the places you want to

go sun bath. Be warned that you may find yourself not wanting to leave till the sun sets because of how beautiful it is.

Horse Riding

Give horse riding a try while on the beach. Experience a movie moment with your loved one while riding off into the sunset.

March – May

The temperature at this time of the year is at its highest. It can go up to as high as 32° C during the day. Trying to participate in outdoor activities may be uncomfortable to some. Most people do not mind though. You will still find tourists having fun on the beach.

As always, don't forget to carry sunscreen and sun glasses. For the ladies, you can even throw in a fancy hat while you are at it.

Festivals like Songkran, Cricket Sixes and Hua Hin Kite Festival happen during these few months.

Site Seeing

With the temperature being higher, people tend to go outdoors less. If you do not mind, there are incredible places to see. You can go and check out Klai Khangwon Palace. The area is sometimes open to the public, and you can learn about the royal family that built the palace.

Shopping

 You can also go shopping at night at Hua Hin Night Market. The market offers a large variety of seafood delicacies in the surrounding restaurants.

June- October

This season comes with light rains and an average temperature of 29° C. The highest rainfall is recorded in October. A lot of people might love to go out and have fun in the rain. Ensure that you carry a sturdy pair of shoes for the puddles and mud.

Site Seeing

During the rainy season, the amount of water in the falls increases, therefore, it can be a more fulfilling experience to see the Pa La-U waterfalls at this time.

Spa and Massages

Despite the weather in Hua Hin, one thing is for sure a Thai massage is a must have experience. Not only will you get those dreamy massages, but also other relaxing treatments like aromatherapy and acupressure. Your hair and facial skin can also get a relaxing vacation experience while you are at it.
