Best Bars in Seminyak

blog_barsSeminyak

Seminyak in Bali is a mecca for hip bars and chilled, party vibes. Though not as ‘rowdy’ as places like Kuta, Seminyak offers a sophisticated clubbing and bar-hopping experience.

The Townhouse

The Townhouse has it all! The five stories of sophistication were created by nightlife guru Mark Baker. There is something for everyone as each level caters to different needs. The first two floors have a juice bar and bistro but if it is cocktails and dancing you want, the third and fourth floor have a fresh and modern lounge and nightclub. The fifth floor houses a rooftop bar where you can take in views of Seminyak and the ocean, as well as enjoy a sunset drink. The Townhouse attracts first class DJs from all over the world, which is no surprise.

Ku De Ta

Ku De Ta’s is one of Bali’s most luxurious establishments. Set on the beach in Seminyak, Ku De Ta offers amazing views, sunshine all-year round and delicious cocktails and food. Exuding elegance, this is one of the most beautiful places to grab a Gin and Tonic and watch the sunset. A place of chill on the grass by day, Ku De Ta transforms at night welcoming music and hours of dancing.

Potato Head Beach Club Bali

Potato Head in Seminyak has become iconic. Well-known architect, Andra Matin has designed the paradise, taking a modern twist on the Coliseum and scattering 18th century teak shutters collected from across the Indonesian archipelago around the place. There is a stunning beachfront bar and a sprawling green lawn that leads down to an infinity pool which is inside an amphitheatre – of course. The choice of hand-mixed cocktails to choose from is slightly overwhelming, as is choosing where to eat – there are three restaurants that all have their unique style and serve different cuisines. Potato Head is truly a treat to experience.

Jenja Bar and Club

Open from Wednesday through to the weekend in Seminyak, Jenja is a unique spot to grab a drink and perhaps enjoy a dance. With six different lounges to choose from inside, including a VIP lounge area, Jenja is certainly the mecca of lounges! Downstairs is where things get a little wilder, with DJs mixing up their beats while patrons dance against a mosaic of dragon scale motifs made from cut stones.

Mirror Lounge and Club

Resembling a Gothic cathedral where the Adams Family would frequent is exactly the vibe you would use to describe Mirror. With gorgeous stained-glass windows and high ceilings, Mirror is definitely a different bar hopping or clubbing experience. Not known for their seating, make sure you team a pair of comfortable shoes with the ‘dress to impress’ dress code. The bar has a large range of beers, wines and spirits and the music is deep house and hip-hop. Also situated along the well-known Jalan Petitenget, Mirror is a great place to add to your night of venues.

La Favela

Upon arrival at La Favela, you may think you have come to the wrong place. The long-forgotten and abandoned looking building is deceiving but once you step inside, you are transported into another world. Retro/antique decor is sprinkled throughout the bar and the vibe is a mixture of chilled and alive at the same time. Located in the heart of Seminyak, this is definitely the best place to start your night… or end it!

Mint

Located on the famous street of Jalan Petitenget in Seminyak, Mint has become one of the hottest places to frequent in the south of Bali. Grab your drink of choice from the large bar and listen to one of the latest international DJs spin electronic music. Mint attracts many expats and tourists but with the bar’s reputation, it is no wonder why!

The great thing about the bar and club scene in Seminyak is the diverse range people can choose from, it all depends on your mood and what you feel like!
