Rice Fields

If you want to impress your Instagram followers with one of the most breath-taking spots in Bali, then a visit to the Tegallalang rice fields is a must. This well-known place is located around 25 minutes out of the centre of Ubud. You can access them by scooter or if you don’t know your way around, a driver can take you there. These rice fields are some of the most well-maintained rice fields in Bali, which is partly what makes them so stunning. The best time to visit is early in the morning or at dusk, to capture the sunrise or sunset and to beat the heat.

3. The Ubud Monkey Forest

Monkeys

No trip (or Instagram account) is complete without a trip to the iconic Monkey Forest in Ubud. The monkey forest is seen as a spiritual, economical, educational and conservation centre for the village. It is sacred to the locals and must be treated with respect. More than 700 monkeys reside in the forest and are usually cheeky enough to come up and say hello, steal some food and perhaps have a climb on you. As well as the monkeys, there are 186 different species of trees and the shade the forest provides is extraordinary.

La Laguna is one of the hippest beach clubs to hang out at in Bali. The vibe is a mix of Spanish, boho-chic, gypsy and from the moment you step inside, you feel like you are in another world. Nestled on the sands that border Berawa in Canggu and Batu Belig, grab your phone camera and snap away on the grass, or in front of one of the wooden vintage gypsy caravans or sprawled on the colourful furniture or splashing about in the lagoon pool. The choices are limitless.
