3 Family friendly places to try in Bangkok in 2018
Thailand is world renowned for its hospitality and Thais are famed for being very welcoming towards travelers of all ages – especially families with young kids. Almost every mall in Bangkok has a play zone for kids to explore and blow off steam so if you are visiting with young children, you’ll be spoilt for choice. Here are three of the best family-friendly places in Bangkok to try in 2018.
1. Playtime Ekkamai
Playtime is a vast indoor playground located in Ekkamai and is a true paradise for kids. The main attraction is an enormous jungle gym called the Play Zone. Featuring slides, zip lines, tunnels, ball pools and obstacles, young kids will adore this play area and have an absolute blast.
The Play Zone is surrounded by addition zones. Some of these are free and some incur an additional charge. These zones include:
- The Toddler Zone: This is a safe area for toddlers featuring lower slides and age-appropriate toys and equipment.
- The Ball Gun Zone: This free zone lets kids load up air guns with soft foam balls and fire away!
- The Dino Rock Zone: This sandpit features mock dinosaur fossils that kids will love digging up. There are plenty of toys such as spades, buckets and sieves for kids to explore with. Nearby, there is a mini rock climbing wall for kids to explore.
- The Street Zone: This mock street area features traffic lights and road signs. Here, kids can learn the rules of the road on electric scooters, for an additional charge.
- The Cooking Zone: Budding chefs can sign up to take paid cooking classes in this zone.
There’s also an Art and Craft room, away from the main Play Zone where kids can complete a variety of activities, priced separately. Adults can enjoy the snack bar and lounge around while the kids play, or even enjoy a massage while they wait. All in all, Playtime is a top family-friendly destination for tourists with young kids in Bangkok.
