As a proud recipient of the BCA Green Mark Platinum Award and Global Sustainable Tourism Council (GSTC) Certification, we are committed to achieving a sustainable future. Below are some of the green efforts we have implemented throughout the property:
Environmental, Water and Energy Conservation
Electric Vehicle (EV) charging stations available for guest use at Furama RiverFront carpark Level 3A
Default air-conditioning set at 24°C in lobby and common areas to reduce energy consumption
Upgrading of lighting system to LED lights to lower energy consumption and achieve energy savings
Usage of biodegradable and plant-based compostable packaging for takeaways boxes and cutlery sets
Installation of automatic faucets in public restrooms to reduce water consumption by 50%
Implementation of eco-conscious SOPs in cleaning, including reducing housekeeping services to after every third night of stay to promote environmental conservation
Implementation of water efficient fittings certified under the Singapore Green Label scheme to achieve better water efficiency
Adoptation of paperless check-in and digitalizing essential information for screen display, effectively reducing the need for printing and paper usage
Commitment to responsible procurement practices, ensuring that suppliers and vendors we work with share the same sustainability goals
Waste Reduction
Recycling of food waste using energy-efficient Food Waste ecoDigestor that converts food waste into greywater, which gets discharged responsibility into sewage instead of landfill
Reducing our environmental impact by installing water dispensers on every floor, effectively eliminating the need of approximately 600,000 single-use plastic bottles per year
Replacement of single-use shower amenities with larger, refillable bottles equipped with pump dispensers in all bathrooms, further reducing plastic consumption
