Location

Chiang Mai is a city located north of Thailand, about 720 km away from Bangkok. Chiang Mai has a relatively cool climate almost all year round and the terrain is mountainous with plains in the middle of side of two Ping River. The highest mountain in Thailand is Doi Inthanon, about 2,565 meters high located in the Chom Thong district. There are also other famous mountains such as Doi Luang Chiang Dao and Doi Suthep.
