Grand Palace and Emerald Buddha Temple (Wat Phra Kaew)
The Grand Palace was built by King Rama I. Today the Grand Palace is still used for memorial ceremonies and royal functions for visiting dignitaries. At the center is Emerald Buddha Temple (Wat Phra Kaew), the most sacred site to Thai locals. It is a treasure house of Thai arts and houses the Emerald Buddha, the most revered Buddha image in Thailand. Visiting these two significantly cultural and historical sites will put you right in the heart of the Old City of Bangkok. Open Daily: 08.30 am - 03.30 pm

Jim Thompson Museum
The collection of Thai-style houses belong to Jim Thompson the man who helped restore the Thai silk industry after World War II, Today it is preserved as a museum and contains a priceless collection of Asian objects d'art. Open Daily: 09.00 am - 05.00 pm

National Museum
Bangkok's National Museum houses a vast collection of artifacts found in all parts of the country, ranging from Neolithic times, Sukhothai, Ayuttaya to the Bangkok period. The complex, once used as a palace, consists of several old but beautiful buildings of colorful Thai architectural design. Open: Tuesday - Sunday 10.00 am - 06.00 pm

Vimanmek Mansion Museum
This is the world's largest golden teak building located in the compound of the Dusit Palace on Ratchawithi Road. The building compound displays various items and art objects for example, H.M. King Bhumibol's photography, H.M. Queen Sirikit's collection of handicraft masterpieces created by rural people, paraphernalia of rank and portraits, old clocks, ancient cloth and royal carriages. Open Daily: 09.30 am - 02.00 pm (Thai Dancing Shows 10.30 am - 02.00 pm)
