Petronas Twin Towers

Petronas_Twin_Towers_-_MalaysiaThe building was officially opened by the Prime Minister, Tun Dr. Mahathir bin Mohamad on 1 August 1999.

The design of each Tower’s floor plate is based on simple Islamic geometric forms of two interlocking squares, creating a shape of eight-pointed stars.

The height of the twoers are 451.9 metres, 88-storeys high. ThePetronas Twin Towers is inspired by Tun Mahathir Mohamad’s vision for Malaysia to be a global player and designed by architect Cesar Pelli.  The Skybridge, a connecting structure between the towers and the world’s highest 2-storey bridge stands at 170 metres high.

Petronas Twin Towers is located in the Kuala Lumpur city centre.
