77 year-old Nim Thongsuk, a fruit farmer, started to build the garden in 1976.

The statues depict a number of animals, deities and humans in various poses, including one of Khun Nim himself, in a relaxed position sitting on a rock. A little stream runs through the whole garden.

There are plenty of restaurants and view points along the way to the gardens and it’s well worth stopping at some of these places and have a cold drink or get something to eat and just enjoy the scenery.

There are 2 waterfalls. Na Muang one is 18 meter high and can be reached by vehicle.

Na Muang two is about 80 meters high and can only be reached by a 30 minute walk.

The waterfalls are the most scenic on the island. You can take a dip in the pool, go hiking exploring or go on a picnic at this scenic spot.

The waters are warm all year round and the marine life is colorful and varied.

There are some nice spots between Chaweng and Lamai or you can head off on a full day snorkeling tour.

Apart from the numerous species of butterflies on display, there is a variety of plants such as herbs and rare wild flowers for visitors to enjoy.

The garden also features the bee house, a Thai style house which allows the visitor to observe the activities of bees, and the insect museum which displays rare insects from Thailand and other countries.

Located in Chaweng area and west of Bophut, the Go Kart track offers 2 types of karts available for both beginners and experienced riders.

The track also provides instructions and protective gear for your safety, what is left to do is only to jump in and off you go.

The course is open everyday from 09.00 am to 09.00 pm.

It is covered by a tropical rainforest full of waterfalls, rivers, exotic birds and wildlife.

For a visitor looking for a place to relax and get up close to nature, Paradise Park Farm, located in Taling Ngam sub district, sits on a beautifully preserved verdant forest with an area of 20 acres.

The park is also home to wildlife as well as hundreds of bird species.

Paradise Park Farm opens for visitors from 09.00 am to 06.00 pm and shuttle service is provided at a fair price.

The day trip takes you to Ang Thong National Marine Park which is featured in the famous movie “The Beach”.
